What materials do you need for tie dye?
- Natural-fiber (100% cotton, rayon, silk)
- fabric for dyeing (T-shirts, socks, curtains, pillowcases)
- Tie-Dye Kit
- Protective work surface
- Plastic bag or plastic wrap to seal project while dye sets
- Disposable gloves
- Rubber bands
- Scissors (if necessary)
- Sink or tub for rinsing
- Washing machine and dryer
Note: Tulip Tie-Dye kits include applicator bottles with powdered dyes, protective gloves, rubber bands and tie-dye instructions. Some kits also include disposable plastic table covers and refill dye packets so you can reuse your applicator bottles.
