Should I wash my fabric before applying the Tulip Iron-on Crystals?
We recommend washing your fabric to remove sizing. Sometimes the sizing will prevent the crystals from adhering properly and can cause the crystals to peel off.
How should I prepare my fabric before applying Tulip Iron-on Crystals?
Pre-wash all fabrics using no liquid softener or dryer sheets. Let dry and press out any wrinkles.
How do I iron on the crystals?
Always heat test in an inconspicuous area to avoid scorching. Position crystals glue side down on fabric. Cover with a thin cloth. Press iron on crystals and hold for 15-20 seconds; do not move iron from side to side. Let fabric cool completely before moving.
How should I wash my garment or fabric?
Turn fabric inside out. Machine wash warm on gentle cycle. Do not use harsh detergents or bleach. Remove promptly and line dry. To iron, turn garment inside out, being careful not to touch design with iron. Do not dry clean.
How long should I wait before I wash what I’ve made?
We recommend waiting 72 hours before washing the fabric.
What are the best fabrics for applying Tulip Iron-on crystals?
Tulip Iron-on Crystals can be ironed on to most machine-washable fabrics, including cotton, poly/cotton blends, canvas and denim. Use fabrics that can hold up to high heat.
My crystals have peeled off, now what?
Use our washable glue to hold in place. Use a toothpick to add a small dot of glue where needed and press stone into place. Let dry.
What is the proper iron setting to apply the Tulip Iron-on Crystals?
Preheat iron to a setting between 325 and 350 (wool and cotton). If fabric is wrinkled, iron fabric prior to applying the crystals. If using a steam iron, remove all water from iron. Do not use an ironing board; lay a towel over a hard surface to iron.
