How should I wash my hand-painted garment or fabric?
Let the paint dry for 72 hours before washing. Turn fabric inside out; machine wash on a gentle cycle with warm water and mild laundry detergent. Using fabric softener will keep designs flexible and prevent cracking. Remember to line dry. To press your hand-painted shirt, iron only from the inside or back side of the shirt. Never touch paint directly with iron.
